Description
е. доски, опускаемой на различные глубины под кораблем и используемой дл отражени сигнала, направл емого на нее с корабл .According to the existing KOiM method, pairing the echo sounder with the aim of setting zero points at the initial adjustment or determining the echo sounder at different depths for subsequent correction of its readings is done by comparing the depths shown by the echo sounder with the depths taken as true. At the same time, the true depths are either taken as the depths measured by a manual lot, or obtained using an artificial bottom, i.e. a board lowered to different depths under the ship and used to reflect the signal sent to it from the ship.
The echo sounder comparing using a manual lot is inconvenient because in order to determine echo sounder corrections at different depths, the ship needs to be removed from the core several times and moved from place to place, selecting the required depths.
The echo sounder comparing using the “artificial bottom” is applicable only to depths of 35–40 m, as it is not always possible to get a reflected impulse, and therefore an echo sounder correction, when descending to great depths, especially when the sea is rough and flowing.
Насто щее изобретение имеет целью устранить эти недостатки известных способов компарировани эхолота, позвол ет получать общие поправки эхолота на глубинах пор дка 100-150 м и состоит в следующем .The present invention aims to eliminate these drawbacks of the known methods of comparing the echo sounder, makes it possible to obtain general echo sounder corrections at depths of the order of 100-150 m and consists of the following.
The emitter (or receiver) is disconnected from the echo sounder for the period of comparing, and instead it is connected to the auxiliary vibrator lowered overboard on the cable, fixed in a gimbal with the vibrating surface facing up and parallel to the surface of the level.
The echo sounder correction is defined as the difference between the echo sounder reading and the distance between the vibrators, defined by the length of the etched cable.
