Technical field

The invention relates to a wall bracket on a plinth for a sanitary installation, the plinth being provided at the lower end with two feet which are placed on the floor and at the upper end with at least two spaced apart side supports which are attached to the building.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

A wall bracket of this kind has become known in the prior art, for example from EP 0 786 562 A of the applicant. It has two wall angles and two cladding angles, as well as two threaded head screws which are spaced from one another at the upper end of the mounting base. During installation, the wall stand is placed on the floor in front of the building wall and is fastened to this wall by the protruding threaded head screws as well as the wall and tiling angles. After attaching the mounting base, for example, a WC bowl is attached to the cross members of the mounting base, and then the mounting base is lined, for example, with plaster boards. In the modernization of buildings, there is often the problem that in front of the wall of the building to which the mounting base is to be attached, there are lines connecting the floors in front of which the shaft lining is located. These guides make it difficult to attach the wall bracket to the building wall. As a result, assembly can become very costly and time-consuming and in some cases even impossible.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a wall bracket of the kind mentioned above which, even if there are lines connecting the floors, allows a simple and economical installation.

Furthermore, the wall bracket should be inexpensive to manufacture and robust. It should be particularly suitable for the modernization of buildings.

2. Summary of the Invention

This task is accomplished by a wall bracket on a plumbing plinth, wherein the plinth is provided at the bottom with two feet for standing on the top and provided with at least two spaced apart side supports for attachment to the building of which it is, The two side supports are arranged to extend laterally substantially parallel to the plane of the mounting base to attach the mounting base to the opposite walls of the building.

In the wall bracket according to the invention, a completely new path is chosen to anchor the mounting base by attaching the base to the side walls with two laterally projecting side supports. The fastening is thus carried out not on the wall which is arranged behind the mounting base, but on the opposite side walls. Such a wall bracket is particularly suitable where relatively narrow spaces are available, as is particularly the case for so-called panel buildings. Experiments have shown that even with such a lateral attachment sufficient stability of the mounting frame is achieved. The mounting base is therefore particularly suitable for attaching WC installations with WC bowls.

Particularly simple assembly and adaptation to different spaces are guaranteed when, according to one embodiment of the invention, the two lateral supports are mounted on the mounting base so that both lateral supports can be pulled out laterally and horizontally. The mounting of the side supports on the mounting base is particularly stable and structurally simple when the two side supports are mounted on the upper cross-member of the mounting base. This upper cross member is preferably designed as a laterally open hollow profile. The two lateral supports are then each laterally inserted into the hollow profile and slidably mounted therein.

According to a further embodiment of the invention, it is envisaged that the two lateral supports in the hollow profile at least partially overlap. These side supports can then be designed as extra long, for example corresponding to the width of the mounting base. This allows installation even in relatively wide areas.

A particularly inexpensive mounting base arises when, according to one variant of the present invention, both legs each have a single support and these supports are formed in the same manner as said side supports. The mounting base can then be made of a smaller number of different parts. The side supports can then be folded away for transport and, for example, slid into the upper crossbar or leg. The side supports are fixed according to a further variant of the invention by two clamping screws which are arranged on the mounting base.
