Technical field

The technical solution concerns a method of modifying weapons designed to fire a single ammunition, the final appearance of which will be preserved, but their function will be changed to a percussion forearm.

Prior art

Firearms designed for a single charge work on the principle of immediate release of chemically accumulated energy of a powder component placed in a single charge, which forms a unit containing: a projectile, a cartridge case, a match and a powder component. The uniform charge of these weapons is fired by a percussion mechanism located at the end of the weapon from the chamber of the barrel, from which, after firing, the empty cartridge is pulled backwards in the opposite direction of the shot. In various constructions of weapons firing a single round, a functional cycle is performed after firing: firing a round, extracting an empty cartridge, tensioning the drum mechanism and inserting a new round, either by mechanical operation of the weapon or automatically from a magazine device in which there are other single rounds. Weapons with a percussion lock are mostly based on historical weapons, do not meet safety requirements and are not suitable for everyday wear.

The essence of the technical solution

The method of adaptation to a percussion weapon consists in removing the ammunition chamber for a uniform charge by drilling it, cutting the required thread into which the bottom screw with the percussion pistol is screwed.

Other functional units of modified weapons remain untouched, which will allow to preserve the original appearance of the weapon. It is not possible to fire a single round from such a modified weapon.
