Abstract

The present invention relates to a ribbed package, in particular a package with an airtight sealed package having a longitudinal rib or closing fold provided with a tear strip device for easy opening.

It is known that in many areas of the food industry, especially in the case of sweets and pasta, this packaging finds wide application in the distribution of products, packages in which food products are enclosed in relatively rigid boxes or trays of plastic or cardboard together with solid packaging in an airtight container, generally made of sheets of different materials (paper, aluminum, plastic) joined together.

The function of the packaging is to protect food products from ultraviolet and visible radiation, from contamination by external agents, water, bacteria, fungi and insects.

One particular type of packaging used is known as a flow-pack, in which the surfaces of a rectangular sheet are first folded on top of each other so that the opposite ends overlap, which are welded to form a form of hose into which the protected product is placed. sealed at both free ends.

The various edge welding operations are generally created simultaneously by heat and pressure.

This type of packaging is characterized by a longitudinal rib formed by the edges of the packaging material placed side by side, which are welded, and by two transverse folds that seal the package.

Instead of tearing off the fold at the fold, it breaks away from the fold without achieving the desired result of splitting the package into two separate portions and allowing easy removal of the package.

In order to overcome this disadvantage, it is an object of the present invention to provide a package having an airtight package and a tape device for easy opening of the package in which said problem is completely eliminated and it is possible to completely separate the package into two separate parts using a tear strip.

Thanks to the invention, this result is achieved by the package being in an airtight package in which the tear strip extends across the longitudinal sealing rib and fold formed by the rib, where the tear strip intersects the rib to form a cut that locally weakens the package and thereby reducing its stiffness and facilitating the transverse cutting process of the rib due to the thread.

With respect to the following aspect of the invention, the cut is associated with a particular shape of the rib weld that forms the peel initiator and the reserve cut zone.
