Abstract

The purpose of the invention is to assure that the arm (3) would remain - in spite of only minimal modifications of the already existing mechanism and optionally still in a more open position of the said pairs of spikes (11, 12; 21, 22) as usually - in such a position that a user would be able to browse through sheets clamped in the mechanism, in which case the faultless operation, which the existing mechanism is famous for, would be preserved. To avoid expensive and time consuming alterations of tools, the intermediate section (25) of the clamping mechanism (2) according to the invention, which is fitted with a suitable guide (26), is modified, while at the same time, the actuating arm (3) is adapted too to cooperate with the intermediate segment (4) which is inserted between the arm (3) and the said guide (26).
