Abstract
A method comprising the steps of associating an amplitude Ak? and a phase $g(f)k? with every digital word of a television signal to be transmitted, and grouping the pairs (Ak?, $g(f)k? in packets suited to the receiver resolution levels to form a modulating signal from the pairs contained in each packet. Applications: high definition television.
