Grant selection rules may be defined to enable the UE to select one or more of the UCI resource grants allocated within a particular period of time. In addition, the grant selection rules may further enable the UE to combine both periodic and aperiodic UCI within a particular UCI resource grant. The grant selection rules may further enable the UE to multiplex UCI over multiple UCI resource grants. Other aspects, embodiments, and fea- tures are also claimed and described.
