Published: — with international search report (Art. 21(3)) (54) Title: A PASSENGER SEATING ARRANGEMENT WITH INWARDLY AND OUTWARDLY FACING SEAT UNITS (57) : A passenger seating arrangement (1) in an aircraft cab- in, the passenger seating arrangement comprising a first column (C1) of seat units and second column (C2) of seat units, the first and sec- ond columns being separated by an aisle (5). Each column comprises a multiplicity of pairs of seat units (9), the pairs of seat units being arranged consecutively along the longitudinal direction. Each pair of seat units comprises: an inwardly facing seat unit (11a) angled at an acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft and facing inward- ly towards the aisle; an outwardly facing seat unit (lib) angled at the same acute angle to the longitudinal axis of the aircraft but facing outwardly away from the aisle; the inwardly and outwardly facing seat units (11a, 1 lb) bordering each other along a shared boundary. Wherein the first column (C1) is positioned adjacent a sidewall of the aircraft cabin, and the second column (C2) is positioned adjacent ei- ther a second aisle (for example in a twin-aisle aircraft) or the oppos- ing sidewall of the cabin (for example in a single-aisle aircraft).
