Abstract

OF THE DISCLOSURE An object of the present invention is to provide a pressure-sensitive-adhesive-layer attached polarizing film which can solve the problem of the lowering in the yield and which allows, even at a time when its polarizing film is thin, to give the pressure-sensitive-adhesive-layer attached polarizing film a sufficient ultraviolet-ray- cutting function. Another object of the invention is to provide an image display device in which this pressure- sensitive-adhesive-layer attached polarizing film is used. The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive- adhesive-layer attached polarizing film which is used nearer to a viewing-side of an image display device than an image display section in the image display device, the pressure-sensitive-adhesive-layer attached polarizing film comprising a polarizing film, and pressure-sensitive- adhesive layers on both surfaces of the polarizing film, the polarizing film comprising a polarizer, and transparent protective films on both surfaces of the polarizer, the transparent protective film on the viewing-side of the polarizer having a transmittance 6% or more at a wavelength of 380 nm, and the pressure-sensitive-adhesive layer on the viewing-side of the polarizing film having an ultraviolet absorbing function.
