Abstract
A device for generating a one-phase alternating voltage symmetrical with respect to ground comprises an alternating voltage generator (1) having four phases (11-14) with a shift of 90 electrical degrees. Two first (11, 13) of the phases having a mutual phase shift of 180 DEG are provided with a terminal (15, 16) each for delivering said one-phase alternating voltage thereon. Reactances (17, 18) are connected to the phases of the generator for obtaining that a load connected to the generator will be substantially balanced and phase compensated, so that the currents in the four phases of the generator will be substantially just as high and substantially in phase with the voltage of the respective phase.
