Abstract

A device for clearing land mines, comprising a mine-clearing unit (5) designed to be moved along and in contact with the ground surface causing mines encountered to detonate, said mine-clearing unit (5) comprising a tool (5.1) intended to stand in contact with the ground surface, on which tool at least one vibration device (5.2) is fitted. The mine-clearing unit (5) is supported by a boom arrangement (2, 4) protruding from the front of a carriage (1) provided with at least two wheels (1.2) arranged along an axle direction extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the boom arrangement (2, 4). The carriage (1) is provided at the rear with steering handles (3) for manually moving and steering the carriage (1). The wheels (1.2) are placed between the mine-clearing unit (5) and the steering handles (3). The carriage (1) can be tilted forward towards the mine-clearing unit (5) to increase the load on the mine-clearing unit (5), or backward to reduce said load.
