Abstract

The mine clearing device comprises a rip tool passing through the earth, and a lateral movement component. There are pref. four complete units, each with a rip tool and lateral movement component. At their rear ends the units are connectable to the tank in rotary bearings, adopting positions when so connected at the side of each other. The side movement components in the coupled position form a common unit moving the whole clearing device laterally. The four units carry at their front ends components which work in conjunction with the earth surface. As the tank moves forward, any discovered mines are brought out of the ground and moved to one side.
