Abstract
Several electric closing units (9) with two units (9a,9b) are provided. The closing unit (9a) is connected between respective phase conductors (R,S,T) and ground (13). The closing unit (9b) is connected between a zero point (3) of multiphase object (1) and ground (13). The closing unit is activated for overcurrent diversion within a period shorter than breaking time of switches (6). - The overcurrent reducing arrangement (7) is activated for overcurrent reduction with assistance of an arrangement (8) detecting overcurrent conditions. The object is formed by an electrical apparatus having a magnetic circuit. A control unit (10) connected to the closing unit and the arrangement (8), detects overcurrent conditions and controls the closing unit to close when required, for protection. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for method of protecting objects in multiphase electric power plant.
