Abstract

The clamping section of the roller bearing (1) is divided in the axial direction into at least two separate radial segments (20), so that during axial movement of the clamping section in one direction the segments are pressed in an outwards radial direction against the object (3) and in an inwards radial direction against the shaft (8), and vice versa during axial movement in the opposite direction. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An object is mounted on a support shaft using a roller bearing arrangement comprising an inner clamping section (11) and an outer clamping section (10) with an opening (12) for receiving the inner section, the two sections being axially movable with respect to each other. A connector piece (16) housed inside the hole (17) formed by the clamping sections provides concentric contact surfaces (13) with opposing angled surface sections (15) extending around the shaft length axis (14) and acting as wedges during axial movement of the clamping sections.
