Abstract
The panels used to plug the opening through the wall have a minimum density of at least 180 kg/m3 and a thickness of 25-35 mm in order to meet strict new European fire standards. Fireproof panels (16,17) of mineral wool are inserted into an opening (12) in the walls (10,11) for electric cables or pipes, which also pass through one or more openings in the panel. The panel comprises form-pressed mineral wool with a minimum of density of at least 180 kg/m3 and a thickness of 25-35 mm. Preferably two of the panels are positioned parallel and spaced apart relative to each other so that they lie flush with the outside of the two wall surfaces. A flameproof coating may be applied to the panel surface.
