Abstract

The position of the phone is calculated taking into account the speed of which it is travelling through the cell, by calculating the speed according to the difference in positional data supplied to a sequence filter by two or more sensors. At least one of the sensors is used to provide data for the speed with which the phone is moving through the cell, and the actual data used to record the position of the phone is based on figures for the speed gathered from two position sensors. An Independent claim is also included for the sensor system (300) used, which contains two or more sensors (301, 303), each sensor being provided with at least one suppressor unit (307, 308) and at least one processor unit (309, 311; 310, 312). Information from the sensors is combined in a sequence filter (305) in order to provides the position of the phone. The processor units supply the sequence filter with the calculated speed at which the phone is moving away from at least one of the sensors, and they also calculate the speed at which the filter is supplied with information on the position of the phone.
