Abstract

An electric wall socket or switch has a base for the box with several folds, projecting like a truncated cone from the cylindrical section (11). The segments 913) on the base can be removed to provide cable entry points. These removable segments are separated by recessed regions (14) arranged in a symmetrical cross. Each recessed region is V-shaped. Each segment of the base has a flat surface (15) inclined to the vertical whose lower part has parallel and separate limiting edges (16) that change over into the upper limiting edges (17). There is a short top and a long bottom limiting edge (18,19). Each segment has a closing face (20) that is perpendicular to the box axis.
