Abstract

The sides (1a,1b) of the concrete block comprise to an essential part of plain surfaces with a slight inclination inwards towards each other. The top side (1c) of the block has a soft, upwardly convex curvature. The sides have a longitudinal track (4) with a height of approximately 10cm and a depth of approximately 2.5 cm. When a vehicle runs against the road barrier the sides of the track are deformed, whereby the vehicle is exposed to a force effect which causes its wheels to be maintained on the road surface. The sides of the block have different lengths for coupling to straight or curved road barriers. A T-shaped coupling component releasably joins the blocks together.
