Abstract
Aluminium alloys (A) for brazed products having high strength at brazing temperatures and after brazing, as well as having good corrosion resistance comprise 0.5-1.5 wt.% silicon, 1-2 wt.% manganese, 0.05-0.3 wt.% zirconium, less than 0.7 wt.% iron, up to 0.6 wt.% copper and the balance aluminium and usual impurities. Also claimed are: (i) plated materials for brazed products, comprising a core made of (A) and at least one outer layer with a lower melting point than the core; and (ii) methods for the preparation of the cores for these materials.
