Abstract

A gas sampling probe for hot, dust laden gas, for example flue gas from metallurgic processes, comprises a multi-walled, water-cooled tube (11, 16, 18) and a filtering unit (24) located in the tube and retractable out of the tube. The filtering unit comprises a perforated tube (27) around which there is a cylindric, tube-formed, ceramic filter (36-38). A large filter area close to the sample gas inlet and an effective cleaning of the filter and the sample inlet by means of a gas jet provides for a high operational availability.
