Abstract

A device for fastening a chinstrap in such a helmet as is produced from expanded plastic has an anchorage portion disposed interiorly in the material of the helmet, the anchorage portion having two fastenings (2, 3) for the strap disposed outside the material of the helmet. The anchorage portion has a forward and a rear arcuate portion (4, 5, respectively) which are united via a flexible and longitudinally compressible adjustment portion (6). The anchorage portion has mountings (19) projecting laterally towards the outside of the helmet. The mountings (19) are secured in plates (17) which are located at the inside of the helmet and are connected to the anchorage portion via arms (18).
