Abstract

Armrests for operator seats of the type which are used in various types of mobile working machines and which comprise an arm-supporting part 1 for the lower arm of the operator, arranged to be supported in a side-related relationship to the seat section of an operator seat and having a preferably adjustably settable vertical relationship relative to the seat surface. According to the invention, the arm-supporting part 1 is arranged to allow a to-and-fro motion relative to a guide part 4 and the guide part 4 is connected to a rear end section mounted pivotably relative to an underlying supporting part 5 extended in an essentially perpendicular relationship to the plane for the back-supporting part of the operator seat, so that the front end section of the arm-supporting part 1 can be pivoted towards/away from the seat part of the operator seat, further to which spring members 11,12,17 are arranged to allow a displacement motion or rotation motion from an original position for the arm-supporting part 1 when force is applied manually to the arm-supporting part 1 and to execute a return motion into the original position once this force has ceased. The supporting part 5 is also arranged to allow a pivotal motion relative to the horizontal plane, so as thereby to convey to the arm- supporting part 1 a forward-leaning or backward-leaning position when force is applied manually to the arm supporting part 1, and a spring member 13 is arranged to restore the supporting part 5 to its original position in connection with the cessation of the manual application of this force. <IMAGE>
