Abstract

The method of wrapping up rolls of paper or cardboard (1) in wrapping paper (2, 11) consists of winding a first strip of wrapping paper (2) round the paper-roll so that one lengthwise side edge of the strip sticks out beyond the end (5) of the roll. The protruding part of the strip is caught against the end (5) of the roll. A second wrapping paper strip is wound round the roll (1) so as to overlap the first strip partly. One lengthwise side edge (13) of the second strip on the side facing the first strip (2) sticks out beyond the corresponding end (6) of the roll. The protruding part of the second strip is caught against the end (6) of the roll. USE/ADVANTAGE - Rolls of paper and cardboard can be wrapped leaving lengths sticking out.
