Abstract

An aqueous composition for use in the conversion of green fodder into silage comprises 250-330 g of an alkali metal nitrite, 150-250 g of hexamethylenetetramine, 10-50 g of an alkali metal nitrate and 1-10 g of an alkali metal carbonate per litre of composition. 2-12 g of an alkali metal chloride may also be present.
