Abstract

The system generates electrical energy and remote heat, and consists of a fuel cell power plant (5) equipped with alkaline fuel cell generators (6) working in combination with a hot water plant (3) supplying hot water to a remote heat network (15). The working temp. of the generators is around 80-100 deg.C, and the hot water supplied by the hot water plant is at a temp. exceeding that of the cooling water coming from the generators. Cooling of the cell generators is principally by circulation of hydrogen fed to them through a heat exchanger (8) in which the downstream flow from the remote heating network (14) is used as a coolant, after which it is reheated in the hot water plant, for delivery as an upstream flow to the remote heating network. @(Provisional basic advised week 91/42)@ @(9pp Dwg.No.1/1)@.
