Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain pulp of a cellulosic fibrous material reduced in an absorbable organic halogen component by arbitrarily adding chlorine dioxide and ozone from separate places in a same bleaching line, in producing chemical pulp. CONSTITUTION: This method comprises supplying a middle concentration of pulp from a supplying tank 1 to a bleaching tower 3 through a flash tank 2 and feeding the pulp from a down pipe 4 to a bottom part of a bleaching tower 5 by a pump 10, then a bleached pulp 11 is taken out from a top part of the bleaching tower 5. A fluidizing device is provided in respective mixers 17, 18 and 19 and chlorine dioxide is fed from a pipe 21 to the mixer 17, then a carrier gas containing ozone is fed from a pipe 22 to the mixer 18. Intermediate washing is not performed between the pipe 21 and the pipe 22.
