Abstract

The heater has an absorbing wall (5) fed with liquid fuel and backed by a glow plug ignition system (12). This is mounted on the inside of the cover plate (1) which seals the heater, and is connected to the electric supply by leads bonded through the cover. The absorbent wall is mounted on a pot shaped support (4). The system is sealed by an O-ring on an outside flange seal. A flame monitor head is set through the absorbent wall into the combustion chamber. The glow plug is rigidly attached to the end cover.
