Abstract

A waste management arrangement for radioactive material is characterised in that a transport container (2) with rotatable radiation-proof closure means encloses waste canister (11) enabling the safe transport to the place of ultimate storage. The container is provided with inlet and outlet means, such that the inlet means is connectable to a canister loading device (Figure 8, not shown), and the outlet means is connectable to a canister unloading device (Figure 10) at the place of ultimate storage. <IMAGE>
