Abstract

A position adjustable vehicular seat has lower rails (14) on which are slidable beams (12). One of the beams (12) has pivoted thereto (at 36) one end of a rear telescopically extensible sprung lock (34) and one end of a first telescopically extensible sprung lock (35). One of two upper seat supporting beams (16) has its rear end articulated (at 36) to one end of a link (24,40), the other end of which is articulated to the other end the lock (34). The first end of the one beam (16) is articulated by a pin-and-slot connection (30,32) to one end of a link (22), the other end of which is articulated to one end of a link (40), the other end of which is articulated to the other end of the lock (35). The lock (34,35) are remotely releasable and lockable to adjust the tilt of the seat. <IMAGE>
