Abstract

The invention relates to a connection piece for connecting, in particular, pressure-medium lines in the form of hoses or pipes to one another and/or to a pneumatic component such as a cylinder, pressure vessel or the like. The connection piece contains a basic body (4) which exhibits at least one plug-in opening (7) which is connected to a through-passage channel (5) and is intended for the plug-in end (8) of a pressure-medium line (1) which is to be connected. A sealing sleeve (16) which can move in the axial direction is located in the plug-in opening (7). Its border region pointing, in the plug-in direction (19), into the interior of the opening (7) is provided with a sealing surface (20) which is formed in the manner of the lateral surface of a truncated cone. Arranged in the plug-in opening (7) is an annular counter-sealing surface (17) which is located opposite the sealing surface (20) of the sealing sleeve (16) in the axial direction and is configured in a manner complementary to the same. Located on the outside of the basic body (4) is a pressure-exerting member (22) which acts on the sealing sleeve (16) and presses the two sealing surfaces (17, 20) against one another. <IMAGE>
