Abstract

A construction, part of a construction or prefabricated component comprises a mass 2 containing essentially a mineral material which stores and spreads heat well, within which or in connection with which are arranged one or more electric heating elements 4 and/or one or more ducts 5, 6 for a heat transfer medium. The mineral material can be, for instance, soapstone, magnesite, gypsum or slag. The component may be made by calendering the material onto a conveyor belt, adding chemicals and vibrating the belt to compact the layer, adding the heating elements and/or ducts, adding another layer, and cutting up the construction. <IMAGE>
