Abstract

An apparatus for blasting steel products comprises a pressure vessel, a blasting chamber through which the product to be blasted passes, a sand circulation and dust removal cyclone and means for introducing a pressurized sand-air mixture from the pressure vessel into the blasting chamber and for passing sand from the blasting chamber into the cyclone. The circulation of sand is boosted by providing along the bottom (19) of the blasting chamber a suction pipe (20) having a mantle provided with suction grooves (21) for dispersing the sand flow, and the suction pipe (20) is connected at both ends thereof to end chambers (24, 25) formed at the ends of the blasting chamber (2), through which end chambers the product to be blasted enters and leaves the blasting chamber (2). <IMAGE>
