Abstract

Apparatus for feeding bulk material into a pressurized space comprising a chamber for receiving the material, which has a side inlet (11) and can be pressurized. An axially displaceable lining (16) is provided in the chamber as shut-off means for the side inlet (11). A piston (21) can be displaced through the lining and the chamber for transferring the material to the space from the pressurized chamber.
