Abstract

An apparatus for measuring parameters in a moving fluid comprises a block (2) with a flow-through fluid passage (3) into which a number of bores (6-9) formed in the block (2) open. Replaceable transducers (10-13) are so positioned in the bores (6-9) that the flow through the passage (3) is not interfered with. This is achieved in that the end portions or active parts (17) of the transducers (10-13) are positioned on a level with or form part of the adjoining inner wall of the fluid passage (3), without projecting into said passage. In a method of making a cell for measuring the conductivity of a flowing fluid, said cell being intended to form part of an apparatus of the above-mentioned type, a through-flow (18) is formed in a body in which two bores are then formed from opposite directions and perpendicular to said through-flow (18) so that the boundary wall thereof is pierced. After that, a conductive material is placed in the bores, such that two spaced-apart conducting surfaces are formed in the through-flow (18), between which surfaces the fluid is to move. Finally, a conductor is connected to each electrode.
