Abstract

The present invention relates to an ancillary device (10) for a telephone connected to a telephone line at terminals KL1,2 with a main switch (12), by means of which the ancillary device (10) can be connected with the telephone line in parallel connection with the telephone. A load connecting device (22) connects an electric load (R2) into the telephone line when ringing current is received at the same time a signal generating circuit (18) is connected with the telephone line. By providing a temperature-sensitive resistor in the circuit of the ancillary device, the latter may be used as a remotely-polled temperature sensor. <IMAGE>
