Abstract

The lower surface (16) of the substrate (12) is flat, and contains a number of microscopic incisions. The resistance element (20) mounted on its upper side (14) comprises a thin film of electrically conductive material in close contact with the upper surface of the substrate. A separate pair of electrical conductors (24,26) each with first and second ends (28,30,32) are connected to the resistance element. An electrically insulating material (48) covers the resistance element (20) and the first ends (28) of the pair of conductors (24,26). The second ends (30,32) of the conductors project outside of the insulating material (48). An electrically conductive sheet (52) is operatively fixed to the substrate lower side so that it fills the microscopic incisions, eliminating hollow formations between it and the surface of the side.
