Abstract

The wire passing through the tubular mouthpiece of the fluid container extends outwards somewhat from the tube end so that it can be inserted into the joint in which the fluid in the container is to be applied. The container is provided with a screw cap type cover, and the tube is fixed in a plate which fits in the cover, passing through a central hole in it. The end of the wire is bent so that it can extend at an angle along the plate to engage with the inner edge of the container. In this way, the wire end is clamped between the plate and the container inner edge, whilst the outer edge is pressed into sealing engagement with the plate. The wire is movable inside the tube both axially and radially. the tube is bent, and the container has walls which can be pressed inwards to expel the welding fluid through the tube, along the wire, and into the joint.
