Abstract

The invention relates to a method and a device for grading timber, where the timber is conveyed, depending on its type, to different compartments 11 which are opened in order to lead the timber collected in the compartment 11 to a conveyor belt 14 which is situated under the compartments 11 and which carries the timber onwards to subsequent treatment stages. A discharging limit member 15 is introduced under the compartment 11 which is to be emptied.
