Abstract

Process for bleaching mechanical pulp with the aid of hydrogen peroxide, characterised in that the mechanical pulp is subjected to the action of hydrogen peroxide in an acidic medium in the absence of the complexant, and is then bleached by means of hydrogen peroxide in an alkaline medium, in the presence of at least one stabiliser for hydrogen peroxide.
