Abstract

The invention relates to an expansion device (16) fitted in a pressurised liquid reservoir. The expansion device (16) includes, for the purpose of pressure equalisation, a flexible diaphragm (17) which is arranged to separate a pre-pressurised gas volume, provided inside the shell (11) of the liquid reservoir, and the liquid space from one another. The pre-pressurised gas space is formed by an expansion diaphragm (17) which is connected to the inspection and maintenance hatch (19) in the shell (11) of the liquid reservoir (10). The expansion device (16) is provided with a fixed or detachable perforated protective device (18) which is arranged to surround the expansion diaphragm (17). <IMAGE>
