Abstract

A device for raising, lowering and/or inclining for instance table tops comprises a pair of lifting arm systems (7) each consisting of two arms (8a,8a' and 8b,8b' respectively) which in one end thereof are pivotally mounted each about a pivot (9a,9b) on each side of a rectangular stand frame (1) and which in the opposite ends thereof have transverse shafts (10) rotatably supporting support rollers (11a,11b) provided to support the object to be raised or lowered. To operate the lifting arm constructions an operation arm (16) is pivotally mounted about a vertical pivot (17) secured to a bottom rail (18) forming part of the stand frame (1) and connected to the lifting arm system by means of on both side of the pivot of the operating lever hingedly connected links (14a, 14b) which in the opposite ends thereof are hingedly connected to link arms (12a, 12b) rigidly connected to the arms (8a,8a',8b,8b'). The operating lever (16) is slidably mounted in a sleeve (19) which is pivotally connected to a trolley (4) which is displaceable in the length direction of the stand frame and lockable in any position of displacement. The short sides of the stand frame consist of parts (2a,5a,6a,2b,5b,6b) which are telescopically mounted in relation to each other which makes the width of the frame variable. A return spring (23) acting upon the arm (16) is so dimensioned that it substantially balances the lifting arm construction. The object to be raised or lowered may comprise a front and a rear place, connected by means of a hinge such that the front plate will take an inclined position when the rear one is raised. <IMAGE>
