Abstract

A compressed air treatment apparatus is proposed which is provided with a switching valve (8), by which the air dryer (7) can be connected firstly to the system and, in the other switching position of the switching valve (8), can be connected to an auxiliary vessel (13) for regeneration. <??>In this manner, the air dryer (7) is repeatedly regenerated during the idle phase of the pressure regulator, which leads to a greater dew point reduction and a more uniform dew point. In order that this regeneration does not occur too frequently, a moisture sensor (22) is used. <IMAGE>
