Abstract

The pulsator is provided with two damping chambers 2, 3 which are connected to one another via the channel 4 and a restrictor 7. The pulsation frequency is dependent on the flow resistance in the restrictor 7. The flow resistance is generated by a ring-segment channel 8 in a rotatable disc 9 which is mounted with the ring-segment channel 8 on the planar surface 10 in a sealing manner. The ring-segment channel 8 is in direct connection with the channel 4 and, via the bore 6, with the first damping chamber 2. Rotation of the disc 9 effects an angular displacement between the channel 4 and bore 6. The effective length of the ring-segment channel 8 between the channel 4 and bore 6 is dependent on the size of the angle. Since the flow resistance of a flow channel increases in proportion with its length, a sensitive adjustment of the pulsation frequency can be carried out by rotating the disc 9. <IMAGE>
