Abstract

The invention relates to a receptacle (19), preferably for young trees. The receptacle exhibits a cover (13), a base (12), two end walls (16, 17), two side walls (19) and an inner unit (26-28). The inner unit (26-28) is provided such that it gradually reduces the useful volume of the receptacle in the direction towards the base (12). The receptacle is filled with young trees, the root systems (30) of which are located opposite the base. The needle parts (31) of the young trees are held higher up in the receptacle, where a greater useful volume is available.
