Abstract

The process for producing granulated sodium percarbonate comprises reacting aqueous solutions of hydrogen peroxide and calcined sodium carbonate in the presence of sodium percarbonate seed crystals. The granular sodium percarbonate formed is dried, after which the end product is isolated. Sodium percarbonate seed crystal particles having a mean particle size which exceeds the mean particle size of the end product by a factor of 1.1-5.0 are used, with the mass ratio of the proportion of seed crystal particles having the dimensions mentioned to the proportion of the end product being from 1.1:1 to 8:1.
