Abstract

A micro-computer or a coordinated system of computers partly regulates the on and off coupling of different modules, and partly controls the coordination between the computers themselves. A programming unit (P) located beneath the press buttons is used for number dialling. One module which may be connected is an activity indicator comprising several differently coloured lamps which when a caller rings up show the degree of accessibility of the rung party. - The next module acts as a signal limiter, and includes a selected, pre-programmed number series where each button depressed corresponds to a specific number of suppressed ring-up signals. A third module contains exchangeable synthetic speech units with fixed messages and a response unit with digitally stored sound. A fourth module has a memory for the telephone number of the person calling, together with specific personal and/or business code, and a fifth module contains a clock controlling repetitive ringing of the last number called. A sixth module contains a system for automatic ringing and playing of stored messages.
