The central processing circuit 5 discriminates if a message is present in the button telephone set 2 assigned to this incoming line. If any message is present, the circuit 5 starts the recording circuit 7 and a communication control circuit 8, and the message recorded in the recording circuit 7 is returned to a line with incoming call via a communication control circuit 8 and the interface circuit 10.
