Abstract

The invention relates to a method for drying materials in convection dryers with dehumidification heat pump as well as to a device for implementing the method. The aim of the invention is to design the drying process advantageously in terms of energy economy with low expenditure on plant in the case of use of dehumidification heat pumps. According to the invention, the aim is achieved in that the humidity-laden air flow which is to be dehumidified in the dehumidification heat pump is supplied a cooling air flow and a corresponding humidity-laden outgoing air flow is carried off and in that energy is supplied to the dryer system via a heater. Air quantities and energy to be supplied are regulated by the drying programme, observing the temperatures admissible for the refrigeration process. Temperatures above the air temperatures admissible on the refrigeration process-side are possible. <IMAGE>
