Abstract
Apparatus for charging powders and/or granular materials, or mixtures thereof into melts of metallic materials includes a tank 3, having a reducing cross sectional lower part 5, on the bottom of which at least one nozzle 12 and an ejector 13 above the nozzle are arranged, where the nozzle 12 is connected to a carrier gas pipe 15, and the ejector 13 to a mixture transport pipe 14 leading to a lance. The admission of the required quantity of material to tank 3 is controlled by electronic balance 8. Inner feeding hopper 10 with upper sieve 11 is vibrated when the quantity of material in the sieve is adequate. <IMAGE>
