Abstract

A heat pump is provided from which heated fluid medium flows into a circuit (2) which initially passes through a magazine (3) in which via one or more coils (4,5) it either emits or absorbs heat to or from a surrounding medium. In part of the circuit it heats one or more radiators for domestic warmth. The heating medium in the magazine is used for heating tap water circulating through the magazine in a closed pipe system. - The pipe coils (4,5) forming part of the circuit and those (7,8) for heating tap water are alternately arranged relatively to each other in the height direction of the magazine. Additional heat to the fluid may be supplied by one or more immersion heaters (12,13), or by causing the medium to pass through a circuit (14) into a tank heated by a fire grate (17). The flow to the radiators is maintained at a constant level by a by-pass circuit (9) in which is a pressure-activated valve component (10) is provided.
